The American musician Bryce Dessner is both the guitarist of the band The National and a composer of orchestral works. Even while studying classical guitar and composition at Yale, his career with The National continued alongside. Today, he is successful worldwide with both, making this a unique combination at such a level.

At the end of the time, or at least at the end of the festival, there remains a farewell—a simple goodbye. Beethoven’s piano sonata Les Adieux directly refers to the departure of his patron, Archduke Rudolph, from Vienna. The reason for this was the Napoleonic Wars. Beethoven, who had a close connection with the archduke, expressed his feelings through this sonata and made it one of his most personal and moving compositions. The sonata is divided into three movements, each reflecting a different phase of the emotional journey: farewell, absence, and return.
